Tucked into Jacksonville’s rural Maxville area in Clay County, Florida, Honey Hog Farms is a family-run operation where authenticity meets quality. Whether it's the hum of honeybees or the playful grunts from our pasture-raised hogs, our farm is full of life, love, and purpose.
Founded by David Pembelton and his son Bryson Pembelton, Honey Hog Farms is built on the bond of family and a shared vision: to grow real food, raise animals right, and inspire the next generation. With locations in Macclenny and Maxville (Jacksonville), our farm encompasses a range of operations—from pork and poultry to honey production and hydroponic growing systems.
Meet the Farmers
David Pembelton – Founder & Farm Operator
David brings the muscle, mechanics, and vision to Honey Hog Farms. A lifelong problem-solver, builder, and dad, David’s hands-on expertise powers the pigs, the panels, and the processing plans. He’s also the creative force behind our feed blends and sausage recipes.
Bryson Pembelton – Junior Farmer, Showman & 4-H Member
At just 11 years old, Bryson is the heart and hustle behind our youth projects. He raises Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats, Kiko-Boer cross meat goats, hogs, and chickens, runs his own hydroponic strawberry system, and presents educational bee exhibits. He’s learning by doing, every single day. He hopes to one day run his own full-scale agricultural enterprise.
Together, this father-son duo is building something bigger than a farm — they’re growing a legacy.
We focus on humane care, natural cycles, and minimal waste in all we do. The result? Premium, traceable products from farm to table.
When you buy from us, you're helping preserve these values for future generations. Every purchase supports local agriculture, family values, and youth development.
