Honey Hog Farms provides professional hog and swine breeding services for producers who require reliable genetics, controlled breeding methods, and fully documented lineage. Our services are designed for small and mid-size farms, homesteads, feeder pig producers, breeding-stock operations, and youth livestock projects. We offer three primary breeding options: Artificial Insemination (AI), Off-Farm Boar Loan, and On-Farm Premium Boar Breeding. Availability depends on animal suitability, genetics, scheduling, and biosecurity.

Artificial Insemination (AI) Services

Honey Hog Farms offers professional AI services using premium-quality boar genetics sourced through our farm and a network of trusted partner farms. We work with multiple farmers who provide top-quality genetics, and we can provide semen or have it ordered and shipped to our farm. Semen prices range from $50 to $400 per dose, depending on genetics selected.

• Labor, handling, and professional insemination procedure
• Heat detection assistance and evaluation of sow or gilt readiness
• Full written breeding documentation for herd records, resale, or youth projects
• Documentation includes breeding date(s), method, boar identification/source, producing farm, and service location

AI Pricing (Service Only – Semen Not Included):

  • Heat Detection Assistance Only: $75 per visit
• Outside Northeast Florida (Mileage Added):

  • Multiple Animals, Same Visit: $275 per head
  • Heat Detection Assistance Only: $100 per visit

AI services do not guarantee conception and are not a substitute for veterinary care. Travel within Northeast Florida is included; outside visits include mileage charges based on distance.

Off-Farm Boar Loan Services

Certain boars are available for off-farm loan. Eligibility is based on genetic value, health, biosecurity, scheduling, and facility compatibility. Services include:

• Supervised natural breeding for one sow breeding cycle
• Multiple sow options per cycle
• Written breeding documentation for herd records

Boar Loan Pricing:

  • Per Sow Breeding Cycle: $300 per sow
  • Multiple Sows, Same Cycle: $275 per sow
• Outside Northeast Florida (Mileage Added):
   
  • Per Sow Breeding Cycle: $350 per sow
  • Multiple Sows, Same Cycle: $325 per sow

Extended loan periods are priced in advance. Availability is limited and not guaranteed.

Premium On-Farm Boars (High-Value Genetics)

High-value boars are not loaned off-site. Customers must transport sows to Honey Hog Farms for supervised on-farm breeding. Services include:

• Supervised natural mating with premium boars
• Written breeding documentation for herd records or project requirements
• Handling of multiple sows per visit
• Housing, feed, and care during breeding cycles

Premium On-Farm Boar Pricing:

• On-Farm Natural Breeding (minimum): $600 per sow
• Extended Housing & Care: $25 per sow per day (or more for special care/high-value stock)
• Multiple Sows Pricing: Individually determined based on genetics and boar value

Transportation to and from Honey Hog Farms is the customer’s responsibility. Animals must be healthy and manageable. Breeding success is not guaranteed, and services do not replace veterinary care.

• Honey Hog Farms reserves the right to refuse service if conditions present safety or health risks.
• Long-term boarding is not provided.
